Palisade Colorado Peaches are special. Their harvest season starts about when our Fredericksburg & East Texas Peach season winds down. They grow in fertile soils, ripening in Warm bright days and wonderfully Cool nights. This produces exceptional fruit. With our delicious Fredericksburg & East Texas Peaches, we are lucky to be able to offer 2.5” -2.75” fairly large peaches (about 6-8 peaches overflowing in one of our 1/4 peck Baskets - so larger peaches equals less number of peaches per basket. We are pretty sure the smallest size of these Palisade Peaches will be about 3” in diameter, larger than that later, once we get later into their season. Most of the many varieties of these later season Palisade Peaches are Freestone varieties. We’ve had one of those ‘watch this’ moments. One of those, “Here, hold my beer, watch this” moments. We going to jump in the truck and head up to Palisade and nearby Olathe to grab some of these peaches along with some of that incredible Olathe Sweet Corn. Crossing our fingers - hoping this works. Want us to grab some for you…. while we are there?
