It’s Sweet, tropical, fruity—with flavor often compared to Juicy Fruit gum. Some of its distinctive flavor compounds are also found in pineapple, grapes, and strawberries.
Also Very crisp, firm, and juicy.
Harvest is Generally mid-to-late October into Early November depending on the growing region.
Keeps well in regular cold storage.
Great for Fresh eating, where its unusual flavor really stands out.
Ludacrisp’s appeal is its unusual eating experience, Like ‘Lemonade’, but also stores well.
The official variety designation is MAIA-L; apples meeting the quality requirements can be sold under the Ludacrisp® name.
