Texas Star Hibiscus - Hibiscus coccineus

Beautiful & Tough, Heat tolerant, Resiliant, Deer Resistant.  Shrubby Native Perennial . Root Hardy to USDA hardiness Zone 7. Usually dies down to the ground at the first hard freeze and comes back in late spring. Likes Full Sun and can tolerate some Part Shade but Not Full Shade.  Grows to 5' - 8' tall and up to 3'-6' wide. Striking, Large, Scarlett Red, 5 lobed blooms.
